Chairman’s Message
From the beginning, our mission has been rooted in the idea that communities are not just beneficiaries—they are partners, leaders, and decision-makers in the process of development. The challenges faced by our society today—climate change, environmental degradation, water scarcity, salinity intrusion, livelihood vulnerability, and social inequality—cannot be solved through top-down policies alone. They require the wisdom of local people, the strength of community networks, and the integration of scientific research with grassroots insight. CPER stands at this intersection of knowledge and community-driven action.
Over the years, CPER has worked tirelessly to build a bridge between research and reality. We engage directly with the most vulnerable groups—women, youth, indigenous communities, farmers, fisherfolk, and marginalized families—to understand their needs, document their experiences, and co-create solutions that are both practical and sustainable. Our work in participatory research helps ensure that development is informed by evidence, shaped by people, and aligned with environmental sustainability.
